Baerling's approach
Based on the information provided to us, each confirmed assignment starts with clearly identifying the issue, its complexities and the related priorities. Following the aforementioned steps, we agree on an action plan, execute accordingly and monitor progress while working on solutions that lasts. Baerling’s clients consist of companies and their representatives and this business project approach is applied on all matters to keep the quality standards of our services and their timely deliverance in place.
Improving agreement frameworks
We review and improve a corporation's existing (international) agreement framework, or create one from scratch.
For instance, when all actors of a supply chain (manufacturers, distributers, wholesalers, retailers and customers) are located elsewhere, spread across the globe, the framework of agreements with all actors can become extremely complex. As a consequence, we often see that essential elements are overlooked and that even basic protection mechanisms are not in place or fail to work as envisaged.
Becoming aware of these risks is the first step to avoiding them. Baerling identifies risks in arrangements, solidifies agreements and aims to simplify the entire framework, so that, instead of being exposed to risks in your contact chain, you can master them and transform them into value for your supply chain.
Pragmatic and transparent
Advising executive teams
Taking business activities abroad can be equally as complex as exciting and when cross border structures are combined with regularly rotating executive teams, the need for updates on compliance standards and advice on local business transaction procedures is always present.
We assist executives to efficiently find their way in governance landscapes and help them to coordinate corporate tasks.
Baerling can provide interim or project services and is happy to talk about the best possible way to structure its support to your company.
Streamlining corporate projects
Strategic (international) corporate acquisitions are often time-consuming, which is understandable. Getting there where you want to go can simply require a lot of research-, negotiation-, closing- and integration efforts.
However, we also frequently see that disproportionate amounts of time are spent on matters that may seem logic from a mere local perspective, but stand in the way of efficiency moving forward when acting internationally. For example, when acquiring parties cannot properly assess a target's jurisdictional differences at an early stage and omit to adapt their strategic reasoning accordingly, tunnel vision is created on technically non-feasible ideas. This leads to misunderstandings that slow down proceedings, or worse.
Baerling has extensive experience with European and Chinese corporate acquisitions and is able to look across jurisdictions for compliant solutions that advance your interests throughout the deal process.
